Scouting is reliant on volunteers to run the different sections and a number of different roles
are available. Whilst we are always looking for volunteers to help as leaders we appreciate that committing yourself
every week does not always fit with other elements of our lives, so whether you can help once a week,
month or year the Scout Group would be pleased to hear from you.
The Scout Association provide an active training programme for leaders that can count towards other
external qualifications.
See http://scouts.org.uk/what-we-do/volunteer-training/
for further information of the training offered by the Scout Association.
However 'help' can come in many different forms.
Do you work in a social occupation such as the Emergency Services or other interesting occupation?
We are always looking for new and varied programme items for the Scouts in the group and would be
pleased to hear from you if you would be prepared to talk to or provide an activity for the young people.
Are you a tradesman? Could you help us with the maintenance of the hut or provide access to materials that we could use?
Whatever you can offer we would be pleased to hear from you. Contact the Group Scout Leader at gsl@leckhamptonscouts.org.uk to discuss further!
